In order to analyze issues and problems within a global context, it’s important for youth to expand their horizons and get a sense of what the world is like beyond their own experience. Imparting "global literacy” will give youth the essential knowledge and skills they need to operate with an enhanced understanding of the world.

Are you training staff to use the All Over the World curriculum?
If so, check out the All Over the World training guide designed to provide any trainer information and resources to help staff implement the global literacy curriculum. Included is the guide, the PowerPoint, handouts, and scenario cards.
Is online training a better fit for your staff?
In the online training, Erin Ulery, former director of professional development at the National Summer Learning Association leads front line staff members through the curriculum with help from Alexis Menten from the Asia Society. Together they provide frontline staff with the tools to teach global literacy by guiding you step-by-step through All Over the World, a dynamic curriculum for ages 9—12 that will add power to your summer and afterschool programs. The session will show you how to make learning come alive, boost reading and cognitive skills, and provide a global context for issues that affect us all, such as health, money, and work.
Learn how to guide youth through an exploration of real cities from throughout the world, including Beijing, China, and Brasilia, Brazil, and delve into how to teach fun learning activities that include research, keeping journals, and suggested games.
